Capably: Delegate Work to AI, Focus on What really Matters ๐
Meet the founders behind the Intelligent Automation platform that helps businesses delegate repetitive tasks to AI.
You know that feeling when you come across a company and think, this will be a game-changer? ๐ฅ Thatโs exactly what I felt when I met Rafa and Nicolas, the founders of Capably, an Intelligent Automation Platform that helps businesses delegate work to AI. From the very first demo, it was clear: this isnโt just another automation tool, itโs the future of work. ๐
Capably has cracked the code to AI adoption: starting with repetitive back-office tasks, its platform operates with the agility of an AI Agent ๐ค, but delivers with the reliability of RPA (Robotic Process Automation). ๐ The result? A powerful, simple, and scalable platform that empowers businesses to truly delegate work to AI, so that teams can focus on what really matters.
Founded in London in 2023, Capably just announced a โฌ3.7M round led by Boost Capital, with participation from top-tier investors including Araya Ventures, Haatch, Concept Ventures, Koro Ventures, Ascension, Sure Valley, and Wayra.
At Wayra, weโve already tested Capablyโs technology to automate some of our internal reporting and trust me, the impact is real. ๐โจ

The spark of Capably: The Story Behind the Founders
Rafa Pulido, originally from Spain, and Nicolas Trรฉsegnie, from Belgium, both studied Computer Science and moved to London over a decade ago to immerse themselves in the cityโs vibrant tech scene. They met while working as Product Leader and Chief Architect at SuperAwesome, a fast-scaling startup that was acquired by Epic Games in 2020.
They quickly connected over their shared love for technology, building great products, and pushing the boundaries of what technology can do. Even back then, they had a feeling they would one day build something together. After SuperAwesome, they went on to lead other projects independently; Rafa joined Geoblink as COO, where he helped scale the business through to its exit to Mytraffic, while Nicolas focused on building a next-gen no-code app builder and was involved in several other tech ventures. Throughout it all, they stayed closely connected.๐ค๐ค
A few years ago, when LLMs like ChatGPT began showing real reasoning capabilities, they recognized a turning point. Having spent their careers building tools and software, they asked a simple but powerful question: What if we stopped building tools that help people do the workโand started building something that could actually do the work itself? ๐ ๏ธโจ
That insight became the seed of Capably, a platform designed to go beyond traditional software as a service and and actually get work done.
Product Evolution and Strategic Shift
Initially, Rafa and Nik explored the space of AI agents, autonomous systems that can take a goal and try to figure things out on their own. While promising in theory, they quickly learned that real-world businesses donโt just need one-off solutions. Instead, they have structured, repeatable processes that must be carried out many times a day, with consistency and reliability.
This led to a shift: they began developing a platform that blends the adaptability of AI agents with the robustness of RPA (Robotic Process Automation). They studied traditional RPA tools like UiPath and found them effective but hard to configure and update. These tools often break when processes evolveโsomething that happens frequently in real companies.
โ Capably aims to solve that by offering a system thatโs easy to set up, flexible, and reliable, with AI at its core.
What Capably Is Today
Capably is now positioned as an Intelligent Automation platform to help businesses effortlessly delegate work to AI across their organizations. It allows any employee, regardless of technical skills, to describe the work they want done using natural language, often through a chat interface. The platform then takes over, automating those tasks reliably.
Under the hood, Capably uses AI-powered code generation, not to build apps, but to execute business processes. It works in a โdescribe, criticize, automateโ process. Its engine is smart: when something unexpected happens, it doesnโt crash. Instead, it brings a human into the loop to resolve the issue, ensuring workflows continue smoothly. ๐ค๐ง ๐
This hybrid approach empowers companies to adopt AI in a controlled, low-friction way. Thereโs no major change management needed, employees retain control, but can offload tedious, repetitive work and focus on higher-value tasks.
The Vision: Delegate work to AI to increase business output and productivity
Ultimately, Capably helps businesses integrate AI not just as a tool, but as a reliable partner in execution. The platform enables a future where companies can delegate in AI back office work that is very manual and is not adding value, scale efficiently, and allow humans to focus on what truly matters.โก
In this video, Rafa shares real use cases, like reporting. Weโve all been there: pulling data from five different sources, analyzing it, building a polished presentation, and sending it off... every single week. Itโs exactly the kind of repetitive work that Capably can now automate.
In the next video, Nicolas shares a concrete example from one of their customer in the Media Industry. A team of 30 people used to spend 2 full days producing reports; with Capably, it now takes just 15 minutes.๐ง
This unlocks two key benefits: first, they can increase output by sending reports weekly instead of monthly; second, it boosts productivity by freeing up the team to focus on more impactful, and more enjoyable, work.๐
Cool, isnโt it?
๐ If youโre curious to learn more about Capably and want to see it in action, I highly recommend requesting a demo at capably.ai itโs the best way to understand the impact it can have.
I have to admit, I couldnโt be more proud to be an investor in Capably and to support such an exceptional founding team. Rafa and Nicolas are not only building powerful tools that make Agentic AI accessible to every team, theyโre doing it from Europe, attracting top talent and redefining what intelligent automation can look like.
This is just the beginning, and Iโm incredibly excited for whatโs ahead. ๐
